We are happy to cancel any order by written notice from the purchasers email at anytime prior to shipping (see shipping policy for details).
II. Refund / Return Policy
The Liberty Cigar Company will accept for return or exchange items that are in new condition, unused, unaltered and free of damages caused by the customer. For a full refund or exchange, mail out your item within 21 days from the receipt of original order. Items cannot be returned or exchanged after 21 days from the receipt of original order. Items must be returned with all original packaging intact.

State Excise Tax
Excise Taxes
Certain states, of late have begun to impose excise taxes on tobacco products sold by online cigar retailers. The Liberty Cigar Company may collect excise taxes on your purchases if and as required by the respective state statutes. Please note that such tobacco excise taxes are in addition to applicable sales or use taxes, if any.
Maryland
Effective October 1, 2019, the State of Maryland commenced imposing an Excise Tax on all tobacco products sold by online retailers to Maryland residents. See Maryland House Bill 1301. The Maryland Excise Tax rate for premium cigars is 15% of the wholesale price. For more details on the Maryland Excise Tax, review the law here.
Michigan
Effective January 1, 2022, the State of Michigan commenced imposing an Excise Tax on all cigars sold to Michigan residents. Premium cigars are taxed at 32% of the wholesale price, with a maximum excise tax of fifty cents ($.50) per cigar.

Ohio
Effective October 16, 2019, the State of Ohio commenced imposing an Excise Tax on all tobacco products delivered to Ohio residents. See Ohio Code 5743.62 Please note that this excise tax is in addition to the Ohio use tax already imposed on tobacco products delivered to Ohio customers. Premium cigars will be taxed at 17% of the wholesale price. For more details on the Ohio Excise Tax, review the law here.
South Dakota
Effective January 1, 2022, the State of South Dakota commenced imposing an excise tax of 32% on the wholesale price on all premium cigars shipped to customers in South Dakota. For more details on the South Dakota excise tax, please review here.
Signature Required
Shipments to the following states that contain tobacco must ship signature required: Delaware, California & South Dakota. All “Signature Required” shipments have an additional fee of $10.00 included in the displayed shipping price.
Other Shipping Address Restrictions
All shipments to Delaware must have matching billing and shipping addresses.
All shipments to California require us to confirm shipments of Cigars by telephone call after 5 P.M. the day before shipment and post tobacco warning at checkout.
Effective July 1st 2020 The Liberty Cigar Company cannot ship to Utah residents.
